Support counselling therapy
Support counselling therapy is a personalized support service based on active listening, respect, and confidentiality. It aims to help individuals better understand their challenges, mobilize their personal resources, and promote lasting well-being. As part of the helping relationship service, the therapist relies on two complementary approaches: Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy.
What is NLP?
Neuro Linguistic Programming is a therapeutic method of communicational and relational approaches, oriented towards problem solving through concrete actions. It opens the field of possibilities to any individual wishing to develop relational skills and contributes to facilitating the achievement of objectives, both personal and professional. NLP could be assimilated
to brief therapy, because the coach, with his or her experience, has the deep conviction that it is not essential to constantly dig into and dissect the same problem to feel better morally and often physically. Sometimes, becoming aware of relational knots that hurt, leads the individual, accompanied by his or her coach, to overcome his or her problems in a few sessions. From then on, NLP appears as a method offering the client the means to access his or her own inner resources, so that he or she can shape his or her present and future in a positive apprehension of his or her past experiences and this, in accordance with his or her deep aspirations.
The NLP coach, through targeted support, can help the client to minimize their stress, regain self-esteem, establish a satisfactory relationship with their personal or professional environment, reconcile with their creativity, and find inner harmony which will have a positive impact on the body.
Coaching techniques help clients change their mindset and change their lives by using their full potential. This allows clients to find these answers within themselves, to change a limiting mindset into a winning mindset, to move forward and achieve the desired results.
What to expect during an NLP session?
The client mentions their current problem, then through targeted questions specific to the postulates of NLP, the therapist helps them clarify their needs and find solutions.
Sometimes, depending on their interest, the client may benefit from methods similar to conversational hypnosis (hypnotherapy).
The number of meetings varies according to needs and it should be noted that they generally last close to minutes.
What is the purpose of hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a technique recognized worldwide for its usefulness and effectiveness in treating a significant number of physical and psychological dysfunctions. Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that invites the client to enter a kind of trance, providing relaxation and well-being. The client can then receive the therapist's benevolent suggestions "without filtering." The therapist's role is to question the client's unconscious mind to obtain answers about the significance of the symptoms, rather than confronting them directly. A dialogue is thus established between the client's conscious and unconscious minds, which facilitates the replacement of toxic thoughts with positive and objective ones.
The benefits: Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical treatment, but it can be an excellent complement for better managing emotions such as stress and anxiety, overcoming phobias and fears, improving sleep, breaking free from addictions, and strengthening self-confidence and motivation. Hypnotherapy is unique in that it addresses the root cause of the problem and treats it at its source, enriching traditional psychological approaches by offering an alternative path to personal growth and emotional well-being.
Combined, hypnotherapy and NLP coaching share the common goal of influencing the interaction between physical and mental health. Indeed, our thoughts influence our body through our nervous system and hormones, creating an internal environment that reflects our perspective, whether positive or negative. Therefore, by speaking openly about a given problem, a synergy is created between the mind and body in a positive connection. And invariably, everyone will find that a healthy mind allows the body to function better.
What happens during a session?
A session, lasting one hour, generally takes place in three stages: induction, work on objectives and return to a waking state. These therapies involve the use of guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve an altered state of consciousness, often referred to as a trance. In this state, clients can explore their subconscious, allowing them to address and resolve deep-seated issues. The role of a hypnotherapist is not to diagnose or treat mental health problems, but rather to facilitate a process of self-exploration and healing through hypnosis.
